General day-to-day manners

Working on the typical cheeky behaviours such as:

  • jumping up & counter surfing

  • stealing, chewing, digging & destructive behaviours  

  • barking & vocalisation

  • getting on the furniture uninvited

  • demanding food or attention

  • harassing other pets

  • and many others

Boundary setting

Teaching our dogs to refrain from racing in the back door, rushing out the front door or side gate, setting certain rooms or areas in the home as completely off limits or off limits until invited.

Social skills

Dealing with hyperexcitability, reactivity, aggression,

Behavioural problem-solving

Other behaviours beyond those mentioned above, such as obsessive-compulsive behaviours, toilet training/marking, crate training, resource guarding, fear or anxiety-related behaviours.

Equipment

One (per dog) top-quality Black Dog Wear training halter or training collar is included with your package. I'll fit it and show you how to use it correctly. You'll need to provide an appropriate lead and daywear collar.

Training Cheat-Sheets

I’ll provide a written breakdown of each obedience command and the important points that you should always be covering with them. This is perfect so that you have something you can refer to when practicing.

Out & About:

Once our foundations are in place, use your sessions to:

  • Challenge their social skills

  • Work their obedience in challenging places & situations

  • Set boundaries or deal with behaviours in other locations eg at grandma's house

  • Go for some longer walks

  • Attend the Sunday market

  • Sit down at a cafe with your dog

  • Make an appointment at the vet clinic

  • Have family come over

    All with a trainer present (subject to booking times) to guide you every step of the way.
